Pflugerville Irrigation Installation
This Pflugerville property was being hand-watered through Austin summers, a time-consuming and inconsistent approach that resulted in dry patches, over-watered sections, and a water bill that was higher than it needed to be.
We designed and installed a complete six-zone irrigation system covering the front lawn, backyard, and all garden beds with separate drip lines. The homeowners' water usage dropped, the lawn improved, and they stopped spending their evenings dragging hoses around the yard.

Hand-Watering a Large Property Through Texas Summers Was Unsustainable.
The property covered a generous lot with a large front lawn, a backyard with established garden beds, and two side strips that were constantly drying out in summer. Hand-watering at this scale meant spending 45 minutes every two days and still not getting even coverage.
The uneven watering had visible consequences. The sections closest to the outdoor tap were lush and deep green. The far corners of the backyard were pale and struggling. The garden beds were getting either too much or too little depending on when the hose reached them.
The homeowners had been considering irrigation for three years but kept putting it off assuming the disruption would be significant. In reality the installation was complete in two weeks with minimal disturbance to the lawn, the slit-trenching technique we use leaves the turf in far better condition than the old open-trench approach.
The system needed to handle the specific conditions of this property, a slightly sloped front lawn requiring overlapping coverage to avoid run-off, clay soil in the backyard requiring slower application rates, and established rose beds that needed drip rather than overhead spray.

What We Changed:
Designed a six-zone irrigation plan covering the full property with appropriate head types for each area
Installed pop-up rotary heads across both the front lawn and backyard for even turf coverage
Laid drip irrigation lines throughout all established garden beds at the correct emitter spacing
Set up a smart controller with separate programming for each zone based on soil type and sun exposure
Tested every zone and adjusted head positions and arc angles before sign-off
Provided a full handover walkthrough explaining the controller and seasonal adjustment schedule
A Lawn That Waters Itself, Correctly, on Schedule, Every Time.
The first summer after installation was the easiest the homeowners had experienced on this property. The system ran before dawn, each zone covered its area correctly, and the lawn came out of summer in better condition than it had ever been despite that summer being one of the hotter and drier ones on record.
The water bill comparison told its own story. The hand-watering approach had been costing significantly more in water than the drip and rotary system running on a scheduled programme. Consistent delivery at the right time uses far less water than occasional hand-watering.
Twelve months later the system is still running exactly as set up. The homeowners have adjusted the seasonal schedule twice following the guide we left them. No service calls, no issues.
I honestly do not know how we managed without it. The lawn looks better than ever and I have not touched a hose since the day they finished installing it." — Steve P
