Westlake Hills Lawn Restoration
This Westlake Hills property had a front lawn that had been losing the battle for years, patchy coverage, dead sections, compacted soil, and edges that had stopped being maintained. The house deserved better.
We restored the full lawn from scratch over three weeks, aeration, new sod installation, a complete irrigation system, and precision edging throughout. The result is a lawn now on a weekly maintenance schedule that has maintained that standard ever since.

Years of Neglect Had Left the Lawn Beyond Simple Recovery.
The existing lawn had been overseeded several times without success. The problem was not the seed, it was the soil beneath. Years without aeration had left the ground so compacted that water and nutrients could not reach the root zone regardless of how much was applied at the surface.
The irrigation system had two broken zones that had not been repaired. Parts of the lawn that should have been getting water consistently had been running dry through Austin's summers, which explained the dead sections along the south-facing side of the property.
The edging along the driveway and garden beds had been left for so long that grass had completely encroached into the beds and along the concrete borders, making it nearly impossible to achieve a clean line without significant preparatory work first.
The homeowners wanted a lawn they could maintain on a regular schedule going forward, not one they would need to constantly chase. That meant getting the fundamentals right from the start: correct soil, correct irrigation, correct sod variety for the site conditions.

What We Changed:
Core-aerated the entire lawn area to address compaction throughout the root zone
Removed all dead and failing turf and prepared the soil with amendment and conditioner
Installed new Bermuda grass sod matched to the site's sun exposure and drainage
Repaired both failed irrigation zones and adjusted all heads for correct coverage
Precision-edged the full driveway border and all garden bed borders to a clean vertical line
Established a weekly maintenance schedule starting immediately after the sod settled
A Lawn That Now Takes Care of Itself With the Right Support.
Three weeks after the restoration was complete, the sod had knitted in fully and the first proper maintenance mow revealed diagonal stripes that the homeowners had not seen on their property before. The irrigation was covering every section consistently and the soil was responding.
The precision edging along the driveway completely changed the perception of the property from the street. A clean edge is one of those details that most visitors will not consciously notice but everyone registers subconsciously as a sign that this property is cared for.
Twelve months later the lawn is on a weekly maintenance schedule and has maintained the same standard throughout. The homeowners say neighbours have started asking who looks after it.
We had tried to fix the lawn ourselves for three years. GreenCraft came in, told us exactly what the problem was, fixed it properly, and now it looks like a show home. Should have called them years ago." — Robert H
